Main concentration is on Mann's attendance at 1st congress of Red International of Labour Unions, Moscow, 1921. This group includes photographs of famine refugees, at Samara and elsewhere, extensively captioned by Mann. Also includes snapshots, usually unidentified, presumably of family and political friends and colleagues; also some picture postcards, eg, hop-pickers' encampment near Maidstone.
Identified individuals include: Louis Kushell, Liverpool, 1921; Robert Williams [NTWF]; Charles Marck; Caroline Martyn [Christian Socialist]; Mann with Ben Tillett; Mann with John Fisher, R.P.McManamon, Jack Whyte [signed photograph]; Mann with various identified party members on Volga, incl. H.M. Wells and Bessie Beaty "American authoress"; group of pupils of Burston Strike School with Mrs Higdon.
