	The Institute of Administrative Management originated in the Office Machinery Users' Association, 1915/6. It merged in 1935/6 with the Office Management Association (founded 1932) and took the latter's name. In 1960 it became the Institute of Office Management and in 1972 the IAM. Its records are held in the Modern Records Centre (MSS.337).
