The draft constitution of the Blue Planet Foundation dated 11 Apr 1995 stated that its objective was "to generate and administer funds to develop a sense of individual and community stewardship towards our common inheritance of natural and living resources, and to promote fundamental change in the nature of production and consumption so that these acts are inherently sustainable and restorative."
