  • This body was established on 22 March 1869 under the title Board of Arbitration and Conciliation of the North of England Manufactured Iron Trade. It consisted of representatives of employers and operatives from iron works in Northumberland, Durham and the North Riding of Yorkshire. It was one of the bodies which merged in 1922 to form the Iron and Steel Trades Employers' Association.
