  • R A W Emerick was the last General Secretary of the Amalgamated Society of Lithographic Printers before it joined the National Graphical Association in 1969. He took over the post in 1960, having previously been Assistant Secretary from 1957 and an Executive Council member representing No 3 District (London) from c 1955. He became the National Officer for Lithographic trades in the NGA and served on the Printing and Publishing Industry Training Board. Appraisal
  • Approximately 10% of the original deposit was destroyed. The contents of some files were weeded or discarded completely. Duplicate material was also destroyed and only single specimens of ballot forms were retained.
