Documents relating to the organisation of an Anglo-French seminar in Cambridge (1968) and a proposed follow-up seminar in Nice (1972). The first seminar grew from the work of an unofficial committee formed in 1967 (on the initiative of Edelman and with the approval of Harold Wilson) in order to try and "interpret the British point of view" to influential figures in the French media and political establishment, in the hope of avoiding another French veto on British entry to the European Economic Community (EEC).
