With effect from February 1946 it was reconstituted under the name of the the Cocoa, Chocolate and Confectionery Alliance. The Cocoa and Chocolate (War Time) Association and Sugar Confectionery (War Time) Association were set up in 1941 to implement supply and price controls in conjunction with the Ministry of Food. They were finally wound up at the end of 1953 following the end of rationing of chocolate and sugar confectionery in February of that year. With effect from June 1981, the CCCA and the Cake and Biscuit Alliance (CBA) merged their administrative services whilst retaining their invdividual identities.
