CBI minutes are preserved in the Circulars series, which include reports and general papers. Each series of circulars is the product of the activities of related groups of standing and ad hoc committees, working parties and panels, and of the Directorate which served them. The classification is that of the CBI itself. Most series are largely complete up to 1987. Each series is signified by a prefix followed by a number and year. The circulars act as the foremost administrative record of the CBI's activities.
Additional administrative records are held within the Administration Directorate and the Secretary's papers.
