These files of agenda, minutes and papers have been reconstituted from files of minutes and more general membership files; duplicates have been weeded. Many files, especially the later ones, are very incomplete.

The Membership Services Divisional Committee first met on 28 June 1979 and was essentially a redesignation of the Membership Committee. The committee dealt with issues of membership of the Association: laying down criteria (including recognition of qualifications), discussing recruitment, retention and subscriptions, and considering any difficult membership applications submitted to it by the office staff.
