Admin history
  • The Association of University Teachers was founded in 1919 following a series of conferences, beginning in December 1917, of the Association of University Lecturers, which derived from the initiative of the Liverpool University Junior Staff Association founded in 1909. On 1 June 2006 it merged with the National Association for Teachers in Further and Higher Education (NATFHE) to form the University and College Union (UCU).
