  • Dr Brian Weekes completed his Ph.D. at the University of Warwick in 1970 on the Amalgamated Society of Engineers (ASE). Dr Weekes worked in the Industrial Relations Research Unit at Warwick University. In May 1976 he was elected as a Labour member of Warwick District Council. He served as leader of the Labour group from July 1977 until 1981, when he resigned his position after taking up an appointment elsewhere.
