Following the Annual General Meeting of BASW , the Professional Practice Divisional Committee established this Project Group to review existing arrangements used in investigating child deaths, to define the criteria to be used in decisions as to whether inquiries should be held, and to specify the types of inquiry that were appropriate in particular circumstances, etc. It was to report, after a maximum of five meetings, by the end of March 1982.
