This Project Group was established following the agreement of the Professional Practice Divisional Committee on 17 May 1985. Its remit was "to consider the relationship between the models and strategies employed by those engaged in voluntary social service related work and social service agencies and to make recommendations with a view to encouraging an inter-dependency which reflects true partnershp and better understanding between all concerned." The group met five times; it produced a report and its work was then completed.
