Originally the Project Group on Parity of Service Conditions for Social Workers in Field, Residential and Day Care Settings, the group held its first meeting on 13 April 1985. At the meeting of 12 September 1986, it was agreed that the Group's draft report would go to the Professional Practice Divisional Committee on 24 October 1986 and National Institute for Social Work Residential Review on 31 October 1986.
