  • This Project Group reported to the Professional Practice Divisional Committee, among others. It was established in May 1987 and disbanded in April 1988. Its brief was to consider BASW's response to the social work issues engendered by HIV/AIDS, to develop a strategy to promote the role of social work with people with HIV/AIDS, to consider particular issues associated with HIV/AIDS and recommend guidelines for practice, to consider resource implications, and to make recommendations re education and training and support and supervision for social workers re HIV/AIDS.
