The Parliamentary, Public Relations and Social Policy Committee first met on 20 June 1970; its last meeting was on 10 September 1979. Its main concerns were with the Association's relationship with its members, with recruitment to the Association and with the Association's publications. It would also keep in touch with and make suggestions to other committees whose work had implications for public relations. It was effectively replaced in 1979 by the Public Relations and Social Policy Divisional Committee.
